This site serves as a portfolio of work I have done in completing the Digital Arts and Humanities Minor at Carleton College. I categorize my projects into three major categories based on the trends in my digital humanities work: Data Visualization, Media Generation, and Other. The page for each thread contains a description of each of my projects that fall into that category.
About me
I’m Rebecca Hicke, a senior Computer Science and English major and Digital Arts and Humanities minor at Carleton College. My research interests lie mostly in Human-Computer Interaction, especially digital humanities, human-centered tool design, and data visualization. I’m also passionate about teaching, and plan to become a professor. Next year I’ll begin my Ph.D. in Computer Science at Cornell University.
